Good Faith Relationships Prevail in Publishing of [Fake] Memoirs

After the James Frey debacle with his Million Little Pieces turning out to be an exaggeration – at least two or three memoirs have been outed as fakes since and this won’t be the end of it. Nope. It seems that publishers still rely strongly on trust and the handshake of good faith. Funnily enough I’ve always thought of “memoirs” as an slight exaggeration of the truth but not the kind that has been coming out of late that are wholly made up or put together out of thin air for fame.
